Totally different core and coverstock.......I was talking to Roger about this the other day.  He told me the AP was more of a "roller", or rolling type ball because of the cover/core combo, while the PF is longer and stronger on the backend.

I'm sure he'll answer as well...

The cover in this one is stronger than the Assault Pearl.  The core in the assault had a lower RG and lower Diff.  The new Pure Fuel is a higher RG and higher Diff. and has the same additive that was in the Top Fuel that enhances friction.  On top of that we also took one of the rings off the cyclotron weight block which displaced more mass to one side creating a much stronger MB.  Giving you a stronger core, same great hitting power with the other fuels and taking the MB from 10% of the cores reaction to 15%.

I threw mine in league last night and probably should have shot 300 about 2 out of my 4 games with the front 7.  It was a standard house shot, but I just seemed to have some room for error, more on that condition than I had with my Top Fuel, Blue Retro and Silver Streak.  910 for 4 games and it was the first time I used it in league.  This is definitely going to be a great league ball and tournament ball.

Thanks,
