« on: June 22, 2007, 04:00:01 AM »
This past year I have taken a great liken to the Roto Grip line.  Have
gone thru 2 RSX's and currently looking to set up the following lineup
.  Kindly provide your thoughts on the following line-up, your likes, dislikes

Solid Horizon - dull, Mystic, Saturn - polished.

thanks,

light on this topic.

Mystic is a good combo of control and strength down the lane.  Would go above the Horizon Solid.  Horizon solid is earlier and less aggressive down the lane than Mystic.

I can only comment on one ball since I just recently purchased it, and that's the Horizon Solid. The ball moves great in oil and has great movement down the lane. It reads the mids excellently and has great carry. Even if you miss your target on the lane the ball seems to react in a way that makes it try it's hardest to still crush the pocket. I love this ball and I highly recommend it.

Not bad.

For myself i'd go Odyssey,RS-X and saturn.

I like my Mystic but for me i'll take an RS-X everytime.

Bass,tnks.

Unfortunately, lost my RSX as it fell victim to the ball return monster and was gouged to death.  The center replaced it with the Solid Horizon due to the RSX being discontinued.  I was thinking of getting the Mystic as the RSX replacement in my lineup.

The horizon solid was the replacement for the rs-x. The mystic is a amazing ball by far the best one in the horizon line. You may consider the Venus instead of a polished Saturn. Personally I feel the Venus is the most under rated ball in the hole line. Much more control when the lanes are funny. The Saturn I had was quickly replaced by the Venus and don't even have it anymore, But the choice is up to you. Good luck with what ever you get.

The Mystic is a highly underrated bowling ball. It's a lot more powerful than you would think a pearl would be. The Horizon Solid I do not have but I know a very, very good bowler who has fallen in love with his...he know has at least two of them. For myself I have the Odyssey for heavier stuff than the Mystic can easily handle...and the Battle for heavier stuff than that. I know you'll love the Mystic and I'm sure you'll also love the Horizon Solid. You'll like any of the bowling balls from Roto Grip.
