Bought an RC5 from Ebay, never tried a rubber ball before...
It has to be the worst smelling compound ever invented. My Pro Shop still stinks...

almost cleared out a bowling alley drilling one it smelt bad for a long time and every time i turn on the vaccum for a week i'd smell it

I remember that ball and we drilled several back in the day and I was never so glad when Roto came out with the UC2. The RC5 smelled worse than the X2 which was a harder rubber, but rolled really good. Good luck with your RC5, Bruce
