Redoing arsenal, need advice
« on: April 19, 2007, 08:50:30 AM »
Looking for some insite here.  I have an oracle vision, fully plugged once and now I'm changing my span.  I really don't want to plug it again and I can get a Mystic for $90.  How comparable are these to?

I'm also thinking of adding another ball as well.  Here is what I'm keeping as they are all single drill:

Super Carbide Bomb
Epic Battle
Mystic/oracle vision/something here
Rampage
Hot Rod SS pearl

After 4 consecutive high shots, I told my wife "They aren't saying boo, they're saying MOOOOOOOVE".

I would say a swap of the Oracle Vision for a Mystic would be okay. They both handle medium/heavy. And for ninety dollars, get the Mystic. It's a great bowling ball. Plus you can adjust the surface if you need to easily as well. Otherwise....I really don't see a problem in your arsenal. The Super Carbide Bomb handles the floods well, the Battle heavy oil to the medium/heavy/heavy area, the Mystic will handle the true medium/heavy well, the Rampage is a good medium, and the Hot Rod is fine for the lighter conditions. You don't have a true dry bowling ball....you might consider the XXXL from Lane or a Neptune drilled mild for that. If you decide to get rid of any of the above...then such things as the Epic Odyssey for heavy/medium, Epic Saga or Horizon for medium, and a Venus for lighter conditons are great choices.
