I intensely dislike the release schedule set forth by most companies. You're going to keep a ball in your lineup but change the name? Way to screw over pro shops, who are now scared to buy in bulk because they will more than likely be discontinued by end of the season. Even my beloved Break has gone thru several name changes, meanwhile staying in the line for almost 8 years. Why not just keep it the same in the line, release different covers to achieve different reactions, and build name recognition. The Break, with its classic black color scheme, has been the Break, Break Out, Purple Eagle, Black Eagle, now the Black Ops. Exciting new releases, yes. Hard to keep a large overstock because it might be discontinued by seasons end? Yes. The days of the V2, Nitro, Rhino Pro, are mostly gone, and the day of NEW NEW NEW even through its the same thing are here. I respect a slow ball release schedule. Shows thought and a plan, as opposed to an almost predictable High end solid, hybrid, Pearl release schedule. Some companies are more guilty of this than others.
