Roto staffer at Nationals
« on: March 12, 2007, 08:31:49 AM »
Vic's telemarketing just took over the lead in team event at Nationals.

Ron Nelson jr. is a Roto staffer.

I traded him a NIB Silverstreak for a NIB Saga back in the fall.

Vic's is a team of VERY GOOD amateur/pro bowlers from the East Coast.

I agree with Mark.  I'd really like to know what balls were thrown and surfaces used.    I'm heading out next week and I know my SD73 and Mystics will be on the plane but hedging on what else?  Horizon Pearl(don't know if pearls are right surface)?  Another SD (pin up)?  I'll probably be adding a "Mato-1" Odyssey if the reaction is good.  Last year I didn't have a clean enough cover.  The RSX played well but it was a little too much in the mids with the layout I had.  But I also hear they are playing tighter this year.  Choices, choices..

Any information on what they were throwing and how the lanes played for them?

I'm in the final stages of perseverating over what to bring. I already know I'll be throwing the Horizon Solid for 9 games ...

Mark

Not with our bowling minors at 11:40 AM, third shift, you're not (I'd bet).

That's why I brought the Venus!

Is the 11:30PM (night) really 3rd shift?  I was told it was 2nd shift after the 8:30PM team?

11:30 D/S is indeed second shift right after the 8:30 team (although once you get done bowling at 2am Reno time it sure feels like a 3rd shift) .

I bowl the 21st at 2:30 for team and the 22nd at 9:30-40 am D/S.

I've bowled in the past around the same time as Vic's.
Usually meet up with those guys at the side tournaments.
No idea yet but they come loaded for bear with equipment.

I'll try and get ahold of Ron Nelson jr. on weds. to see what he was throwing.

My bad it is second shift after the team.  I thought you meant am not pm.

I bowled that shift last year.  The lanes held up pretty well.  In that case the pin up SD would be good. Get there early enough to watch the team in front of you so you can adjust your surfaces if need be.
