So, I guess the new Cell....
« on: January 20, 2008, 03:54:04 AM »
...must be a DAMN GOOD ball since in today's PBA match, Scroggins in killing with it, Delutz and Jurek were using it as well.

Since I'm throwing RG now, (Horizon Solid, Mystic, Neptune), I should add this one to my arsenal.

Go Roto.

I would like to second your motion easy10.

I think Randy hit it on the head though...Jurek needs to move right.  He bowled well all week with the Cell.

This is honestly the first time that I can say that what the pro's were throwing on tv this week might be determining in me buying that ball. It will be my first Roto Grip ball, and I am thinking it will be a great decision.

Charlest - Didn't Roger already offer you a seed ball in another Cell thread?!

The ball did look impressive today in Scroggins hands. Unfortunately, Jurek and Delutz didn't have the same level of consistency for hitting their line that Scroggins had.

This was the first time on the telecast that I've heard them talk about the way a ball was performing. They didn't mention the ball by name, but they talked about how many of the players were using it during the finals. That's some great exposure for Roto Grip and the Cell!

That's the reason for the smiley face. It's on its way. and part of the reason it's impossible to resist. Was thinking of it before the offer, though, enough tosave the design notes made by Hank Boomershine.

That might have been because the right side had more play and got more fubar-ed than the left.

Yes, it speaks well for it when three different styles used it on a very difficult pattern.

i am truly flabbergasted. watching the show now and i know that i am not even a rev line on the ball of either of these bowlers ,but the cell for me ,well lets just say if anyone had watched me bowl today and i said  i was using the cell they wouldnt have believed it. I am watching these giys and the ball is responding so well to this shot . I bowled today on a reverse block and since everything i had was dull i had to try to play in the oil. I guess i should be mad at myself and i am ,but if you noticed the bad shots, the washouts the seven /ten pins the shots that just dont get to the head pin thats what i get. I dont even believe i was throwing the same ball.Jureks ball best exemplifies my results with the cell. I know he was trying to play the dry . I couldnt play it anywhere across the dry or up the boards. It just doesnt fit my style, or lack there of. I am glad it works for the masses though.

what kind of conditions were they bowling on today? I see they were playing pretty long and outside.

Not serious are you? It was the Cell, the same ball the other 2 were throwing, it's what this thread is about.

On the drilling, the pin was over his ring finger.

This ball is in my future! Maybe a Pluto too.

Another question....I'm watching the matches today.

Does this ball have some irregularities with it that it only works for lefthanders??

I think I like this new ball.

Oh...is there a mass bias position on any of these balls Mike Scroggins threw?
