I'd be more than happy to explain the shirt prices. In Bowling we have more levels of distribution then most industries. As the manufacturer we sell our products to a bowling distributor who wholesales our products along with others to pro shops. The pro shops have to be able to mark up the product to a retail price that fits their margins. We try to offer a retail price that should work for the pro shops to follow.
I could sell the shirts cheaper, but then I would be under-cutting the pro shops which are as much my customers as the end users are. We do try to offer some cheaper shirts in the 30 and 40.00 range. When we launch our new site in a week you will see the new apparel line up and I believe 3 or 4 shirts are in the 40 - 50.00 range.
We are currently closing out last years shirts along with some discontinued ball shirts at below cost prices to move out that older inventory.
The customization is much more expensive, but a great feature. We will have a whole new website devoted just to that in the next few months.
