Will Roto Ever Make
« on: July 21, 2007, 06:46:54 AM »
A strong Particle Pearl again like the Oracle Vision-Epic Dream for the U.S. market???? It's been awhile since they had one in the line-up. Is it just me or does anyone else have an interest in either a special release, new release or re-release of a Particle Pearl that would fill this spot. They have one in the Planet and Horizon lines why not in the Epic line??? I've got my fingers crossed that this may be one of the Special Releases for 2007-2008 season.

Got one and for me it's not close to what my old and decreped Vision once was. Doesn't handle the volume and give the reaction as the Vision did in it's prime and with 500+ games the poor old boy aint comming back.

I actually only threw the Vision a couple of times, but personally i think the RSP (Particle Pealr also) is way stronger...

Have you looked at the RSP, mab?  I actually think it's one of the best balls i've thrown in the past few years..

I had a Vision and although strong, the Mystic is as strong if not stronger than the Vision with it's lower RG.  Knock the surface down on the Mystic and it can easily handle quite a bit of volume.  I believe the Vision came 1000 or 1500 grit.

Anthony I agree with you that the Mystic is a strong piece and could be stronger than the Oracle Vision - especially with higher rev rates.  I think what mab is liking from the Oracle Vision though is the rev up of the cyclotron core.  Those of you with higher revs like yourself and Ryan (RotoRPS) may not need that extra "ummph" but I notice that difference between the Mystic and the Oracle Vision from a core standpoint.

The Maximus and Maximus II core also show that same ability to rev up a lot - maybe even more so than the cyclotron.  I personally feel that gives more recovery and why I'd also like to see another release of a particle pearl in the high-end RG equipment.

Thanks for the responses all have great value. I'm not one to play with surfaces though except applying polish and that helped me out with the RSP which I do use quite often since the Vision has slowly passed it's time due to use. The Mystic is fantastic on house shots for me but I don't see a typical house shot all the time. Dan you hit it right on the head the ability of the cyclotron core to rev up is what I need as I am not rev dominant and would need that extra boost it gave me although it must have oil up front. I'd be in heaven to see the Quest in a pearl version with the Maximus core or the Epic Dream.
