Dominion Hybrid Video

In this video I am throwing three different Dominion Hybrids.  Each with a different layout, and surface prep.  The idea was to have three different reaction shapes, so one would compensate the other.  I accomplished that with these three layouts on the Dominion Hybrid.

Great vid Gunny. Which layout would you say you favor most for that ball? I have had each of those layouts on at least one ball in the past. That last layout i had on a Rogue Cell (hybrid) and it rolled amazingly. Thanks again.

Nice video as usual Gunny!I've been thinking about trying a Seismic ball'maybe I'll pick one up.

My favorite layout is the 2nd layout.  But I love throwing the last layout.  That's my true game, move left and open up the lanes.

Give it a try, you wont be disappointed!  Some of the smoothest rolling pieces out on the market right now, with each piece compensating one another on various conditions.

Great videos, yet again, John.

Pretty soon you're going to make yourself a reference point for many people.

BTM, who generally seems to use too little oil on their Medium and Heavy oil test patterns, just rated this ball a 56 in overall hook and rated it with 9s for Medium oil and 9.5s for Heavy oil. I think your videos give us a better picture of the ball's potentials, especially since you used both a medium polish and the stock surface.

Thanks charlest.  Their findings were a little odd to me.  It'd be interesting what BJI comes out with in their review.

I will be getting one soon....birthday in a couple days so I'm trying to decide to go then or wait just a little longer....

I will be getting one soon....birthday in a couple days so I'm trying to decide to go then or wait just a little longer....

I have a Blackout and found it too strong to control in my house due to their lighter oil patterns and my slight rev dominance. I had used a 4" pin and 40 degree Val Angle. Couldn't sand it dull, even 4000 grit - it was just too early. So it's easy to see how the Domination with a higher RG and slightly larger differential could easily handle medium  to medium-heavy oil with a normal drilling.

I redrilled my BO with a 6" pin-PAP and a 60 VAL and put a light hand shine on the 3000 grit surface and it's much more controllable for me in this medium-light oil house.

I really liked the look of ball 2 also.....I am in a dilemma. I have a deep purple taboo I love for a heavier ths house I bowl...I've scored exceptionally well with it for two games a night...but friday it came back with a big gouge in the track....so they are trying to fix but if it doesn't go well I will replace it. I have recently purchased an amp and blackout and love them both....so i am thinking dominion but not sure if it can handle the oil like the deep purple....I have the taboo at 4000 and its a great piece.....so not sure if I should try the dominion or buy another deep purple

The ball looks like it rolls pretty sweet. I also like the 2'nd drilling. Does this ball come polished or is it dull?

Charlest, with the great review numbers this ball received for medium and heavy oil, for an equally drilled and surfaced comparison, where does the Dominion fall in terms of the Raging Bull Solid and Stampede....the other heavy oil pieces in the line up? Would u think just as early but smoother on the back end?
