Keystone Lanes in California

Does anyone bowl here regularly or have bowled here at all? I have a tournament there tomorrow, and would like to know the types of lanes they have and how much oil they usually put out. Where are the best areas to play? Do they have wood approaches and synthetic lanes? Thanks.

Keystone Lanes is my home center. The normal house shot features medium-light oil down the middle, with wet edges. Tournament shots feature the "Keystone flood". Last weekend at ABTA, the flood was out, and balls were not moving. The lanes are synthetic.

What tournament is this??

JAT. Last time I went there was for a tournament (I think) and the lanes were really heavy. What's the best way to attack the flood for a med/low rev player? I believe my strongest ball would be my Strike Zone, 800 wet sand. Drilling is my profile, I've been told it is the most aggressive drill.

What house do you come from? Look out for John Lawson. Not sure if you know him or not, but he is probably the best to come out of Keystone. The best way to play Keystone is to play straight up. I really hate saying this but light carries, and it carries well so try that out when you start practicing. Stand right though.

Had I done this, I would have won last week's tournament.

You're saying light hits in the pocket create mixers? That's good. I come from Linbrook in Anaheim. It's a tougher house in my opinion. I usually play straight anyways, haha. I just don't want to get so far right that I'm pretty much just aiming it right at the pocket. I was thining of standing with the second dot inbetween my feet and shooting the 2nd arrow. Do you think this would work?

No but I have been wanting to go being that it is open 24 hours.

I heard it is kind of pricey though.

Linbrook..aka the Sahara Desert. They oil around 9am and again about 5pm for leagues. If you bowl after 9pm or before 9am, expect your ball to be torched.

I can always tell when someone bowls at Linbrook for practice because the track on their ball is torched. And I mean there is literally a white burn mark all along your track!!

There are really dry once in a while but mostly are pretty good. They do oil at night from time to time. How often do you bowl there? I bowl juniors on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
