Travis AFB No Tap, New Years Eve
« on: December 16, 2011, 02:58:58 AM »
During the December monthly no-tap this month Rob announced that he will be having another one on New Years Eve @ 8:00 PM

If you have never bowled this and are able to get to Fairfield, CA it's a great tournament. It's held the second Saturday of each month (except for the previously mentioned event) and if you are not a military ID card holder, you will need to contact Rob at Travis Bowl to get on the gate list.

The format is three games, then cut the field in half, one game, cut the field in half, then bowl one game for money. $25 entry fee and 1st place is usually $220 or so. If you make the last round, you get paid.

It's a no tap, but with a twist. It's scratch with two divisions, under 170 and everyone else. The kicker is, that it's on a sport shot. Sometimes it's a kegel pattern, or a PBA pattern or other times it might be something Rob dreams up(try a 30 ft, heavy oil, 1 to 1 shot sometime) .
