2nd Dimension or Rogue Cell

Presently I have the VG at 1000 as my oil ball and my Hy-road as my next. Sometimes I find that I needed something between the 2...so do you suggest I get a end Dimension or a Rogue Cell to fill this gap which can also be my benchmark ball....thanks !

Rogue Cell is designed for the same spot as the Virtual, oiler with angle.

Since you altered you VG to 1000 - I did that too - a 2nd at 2000 will fit perfectly between the two.

How does the VG roll on 1k? Right now, I don't like the look of it at 4k with light polish on heavy patterns.  I am going to take it down to 2k to see what happens.

BTW, 2D is a pretty good ball.  I used it on a Nationals and Scorpion patterns in two local houses and it gave me reaction on both patterns.  Works really good on THS patterns too.  I would like to try a Rogue and see where it fits.

Get a Second Dimension. The VG is very strong and almost like the Rogue. So if u want something in between get the 2D

    r532me, to me the VG at 1000 is more consistanr roll,more midlane, smoother reaction and less angular.

    It sounds like you already have 2 awesome balls in your arsenal right now with the Virtual Gravity and then the Hyroad. you really dont need anything to go between them. Try this lineup. Virtual -> Hyroad -> 2nd Dimension. It will give you a good look. And if you still need something for dryer lanes, pick up a Tropical Storm.

    Storm246, in your past experience with the VG at 1k how long was the oil pattern?  I am prepping my ball for the Nats and the oil is 39 feet. I am on the left side so the breakdown will not likely happen as fast as the right side.

    Stone, the 2d will likely be stronger but not as angular as the Hyroad but it will respond better to oil than a Hyroad if both have oob coverstocks.

    This is a very loaded question in comparing 4 balls and how they would match up...

    The Virtual Gravity can handle a little larger load of Oil in comparison to the Rogue Cell.

    The Second Dimension starts up earlier and reads the mids as opposed to the Hyroad that is cleaner through the mids and stronger on the backend. The Second Dimension can definitely handle more oil and not sacrifice pin carry with the angle it gets to the pocket. If a Rogue Cell or Virtual Gravity is facing up too soon, a Second Dimension would be a great compliment.

    The thing to remember also is that the Second Dimension is Symmetrical compared to the Virtual that is Asymmetrical along with the Rogue Cell that is Asymmetrical. The Second Dimension does have two Asymmetrical cores turned 90 degrees in relation to each other to kind of mock an asymmetrical ball but to also get that earlier roll in the midlane by it being a symmetrical core. The Pearlized Cover with added Mica also helps read the mids because of the Mica but still has a continuous strong motion with the pearl coverstock...

    I think that a Second Dimension might be what what you are looking for. The Rogue might cause a little bit of overlap on your Virtual. Granted the Virtual is Stronger, but the Rogue is not that much weaker. Maybe a Rogue with oob coverstock and a weaker drilling would suit you. If not, I would suggest a Second Dimension with a stronger layout to have it read the mids even better.

    Interesting topic. I've turned to Storm and RotoGrip just recently. The Virtual and Rogue look similar but of course the Rogue is more of an Arc shape on the back while the Virtual is Angular.I say they compliment each other well. I also have a HyRoad and the ball is very clean through the front with great mids and good backend. I think the Second Dimension will be a good ball to have. Just layout the way you want to fit in your arsenal.
