2nd Dimension question

I just drilled up a 2nd D.  It's layed out label.  Was wondering there is a break in period for the coverstock?  Only threw the ball three balls or so.  Got very little hook out of.  Anyone out there have simliar experiences?

i would suggest throwing it for a full game before you start assessing it.

i have a 2D, ball is a monster for me, you have to get a few games on the cover and get your track into the ball...trust me the ball will hook for you..and remember, the cover on this ball is very open to changes.

John,

Might think about trying to knock a little polish off the ball.  I didn't get much reaction out of the 2nd Dimension early either, I just lightly spun the ball with wet 4000 Ablaron and the ball came alive.

Ditto on what Nicanor said. The minute I knocked the shine off w/4000 abr, this ball became one of the first out of my bag.

i agree with what has been said, touch up the surface some and you should throw it some more too, 3 balls doesnt really give that much information with a brand new ball.

I had the same experience.. I took the shine off and went with 2000 abralon on 4 sides of the ball. You should see a great difference

i knocked the shine of mine and is still alergic to oil.  but i make most of my 10 pins with it.  must be a bad drill for me. all my other stuuf works pretty well.

What is the reaction at 4k?  I've had mine at 1k and 2k with and without polish but never at 4k pad only.

new balls (storm) for me are either VERY storng or weak when i first get them...

It read the lane much smoother for me at 4000. I had a lot of squirt and over/under with it at box finish. I used to alternate between 2000 and 4000 depending on oil volume. Great ball!

I just hit it with a 4k pad tonight.  I plan on using it as a step up from my T-Road Pearl or Rapid Fire Solid depending how it reacts.

edit: I tried it today at 4k and it is much more predictable than at 1 or 2k.  It seems just a step up from my RFS but the motion is different as well as it should be because of the layouts.
