A ball closer to the Virtual Gravity Nano
« on: November 03, 2016, 12:11:26 PM »
Looking for a ball to replace the Virtual Gravity Nano and having an argument over which would be closer the Lock or the Alpha Crux with a surface change. Thoughts?

Box condition lock would be closer to vg based on my recollection.  I have thrown all 3.

with similar layouts, my lock has been pretty close to my Virtual Gravity.  I left my Lock at OOB, and I think if I took it to 2000 (which was the finish grit of my VG) it would probably be even closer to the VG in terms of reaction.

The Dream Big might be a better choice, as you would be replacing a solid with a solid

I'd lean towards the Dream Big from 900 Global in all honesty.  That ball definitely seems to have more of the VG reaction which is to go a bit longer but still be a little more angular for a solid.  Other solid cover balls such as the No Rules and the Alpha Crux tend to read more in the midlane and be a bit smoother overall in the reaction.

My Alpha Crux is much cleaner thru the mids and stores energy better than the old VG Nano.  I can see why some people liked the Nano, but it definitely didn't strore energy better than the Alpha Crux unless you have a lot of ball speed.

Yea, probably could. But at $175 I make a nice profit on them. I don't want to be "The Donald" LOL
