A few comments on the new balls
« on: June 15, 2004, 08:21:02 AM »
I can't wait for some of these new balls. I think that the Hot Rod Pro Stock will be one of the biggest hooking balls for the price.

The triple xtreme, I am just surprised that they used the accu-tread; I thought the might have used something more aggressive, either the Typhoon or Monsoon.

The flash flood I am hoping will be a heavier particle load that light, maybe medium. If it is a higher particle load, it my replace my dud Fear Factor.

As for the two hits, the new pearl is nothing new, but I knew that storm would create a particle hit eventually and that one may be my top priority.

As for the Recharge, that core look cool, but it seems awfully familiar. Oh wait, I know where it came from. This core was used on some overseas balls a while back, here is one, and I am sure there are more. They just added a ball to the original design: http://www.123bowl.com/ball.asp?ballid=876

So, what do you guys think?

The Triple X-Treme's an Ultimate Inferno, I'll bet you anything.  BIG hooking solid?  Drill two the same way, and I bet they'll roll the same with maybe the exception of the Ultimate rolling earlier.

No, really, I like you.  Now, by all means, feel free to go fornicate yourself with a sharp object.

Come on, honestly, how different are they gonna roll?  Big hooking solids with low rg cores.  Accu-Tread isn't as aggressive or as early as Activator though, so that's why I said the Ultimate would roll sooner.  If it would have had Monsoon on it instead, then it would have been a lot closer.  So it may not be EXACTLY an Ultimate, but how different can they be?
