Advisory Staff 2015
« on: November 18, 2014, 07:44:52 AM »
Happy to announce I'll be joining the Storm Advisory Staff for 2015!  I know I've long debated the pros and cons of being on staff with somebody, but I've got a good enough relationship with my customers that they know I won't try to sell them Storm just because I'm on staff, and that I also wouldn't be on staff with a company I didn't "believe in."  Storm was my first "love" haha, the very first league set I had with my first Storm ball, the Trauma, I had my personal and league high games back to back on the way to my first 700.  I shot my first 300 with an El Nino 2000 13 months after I started bowling, and I had several more firsts with Storm equipment.  Every good memory I have about youth leagues and starting bowling involved Storm stuff.  Lol and if anybody remembers the early days of the HamPster, and all my "this ball is awesome!" ball reviews, my enthusiasm has only dampened slightly.  Excited!
What would you be if you were attached to another object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis?

Lol dumpster fire maybe, my Revolt is DESTROYED.  I'm going to order a case of Tour Solids.

You'll be impressed by the Tour Nano! I'd go 2 Nano's and 2 Solids. They are some great rolling balls.

Yeah, definitely getting a Nano, but I probably won't be ordering duplicates quite yet.  The list includes: IQ Tour Nano, Tour Solid, Optimus, Crux, Punch Out, Zero Gravity, Tour Fusion.  Even at staff price I still have to get the wife to approve!  Probably don't need a Zero or the TF, but the rest are a must!

Don't be too quick to rule out the Zero. It took me a few games to get used to the motion, but that ball has quickly become a staple in my tournament bag. It's a little cleaner through the heads and bit more responsive and continuous down the lane compared to my IQ Tour Solid. I think people's beef with the Zero is that expectations were different than reality due to how the ball was marketed. In any case, I was ready to ditch mine early, but now that I've learned when and how to use it, it's getting more time than just about anything in the bag these days.

Congrats on your staff appointment! I am a Storm staff wannabe. I've pretty much only thrown their gear for the past couple of seasons, and I love it! I know that all companies make good stuff these days, but I don't know if anyone makes BETER stuff than Storm. They have had great lines going for quite some time now.

Don't see any Hyroads, not the solid, as its a blah ball.

Might get the original . . but yeah the solid is really condition specific for me.  I typically don't get along with higher RG balls anyway, but I just don't see enough dry for it to get much use.

Yeah I would REALLY like a Zero, but what I'm going for first is replacing my current lineup, then adding stuff in the holes, IE Optimus.  I may not get a Crux depending on how strong the Nano is, but I need to replace my Sinister and the Crux is the closest thing to it.
