Agent vs. Pyro
« on: June 22, 2006, 09:35:55 PM »
I'm new here. I have 2 balls the strikezone which i uses for shorter pattern & the one in longer pattern w/ mild carrydown. however, when the lanes gets spotty or have lots of carry down. my balls tends to just skids all the way to the pins. i have to move 8-10 boards right just to hit the pockets.

I'm a high speed/low revs stroker. standing on the middle, throwing from the 3rd arrow to the 2nd. bowl mostly on pro anvil lanes w/ medium to medium heavy volume of oils & patterns of 35'- 38'out

i gave never owned a pearlized ball before. so i really need your help here. i was planning to get a pyro last sunday then the agent came out in our local proshop. now i'm confuse

by the way, this would be my 1st venture into the storm line. been using columbia, brunswick & ebonite balls the past few years

would really appreciate your comments & suggestions. thanks

I too have found the Pyro to be great for carrydown. I usually start league with my The One end up switching to the Pyro when carry down occurs.

BTW - The Pyro was my first venture into Storm and I have been happy. I am also a high speed/lower rev kind of player

Andy,

any drilling suggestion for the pyro? might get 1 this weekend. My The One is drilled pretty aggressive (layout #3 on the drill sheet) 1000 grit abralon. what kind of drilling should i opt for? as to make a smoother transition from The one to the pyro. my ball speed is around 33kph or around 18-20 mph( not so sure about the conversion) & the one is just perfect w/ this speed. i can throw a bit slower though when the lanes demand it.
