Hold fast, with this whole Phaze fiasco, you might have to apply a wait and see approach with Storm right now.

I don't think there would be enough difference to justify it especially if you're mostly bowling on house shots

My $ is with North face.

I haven't been as pleased as everyone else lately. There were much better balls during the 2008-2012 era.

My second dimension kills em. Just refinished my 2009 hyroad, kills em.  Rogue cell...still kills em.  And there are still people out there doing great with OG virtual gravities.  It's a cash cow...I'm loyal to the brand, yeah, but now they're throwing crap on the wall to see if it sticks..

There's been some good ones but the marvel pearl, critical theory and a few others were 2012 balls...

I might be going to Brunswick....I'll get twice as many options for the money.

Thanks northface for getting me all fired up...dang.

Done hijacked the post...

I was a Storm fanboy for some time, so it pains me to say anything derogatory, but their hype machine is usually just that, hype. The Optimus is a big piece of dookie and the Phaze is shaping up to be the same. And save the whole "no bad balls, you're using it on the wrong condition" speech (especially you charlest) if it has to be a Wednesday night between the hours of 6-8 pm, a full moon, a 25 % chance of rain outside, my wife just finished her cycle and I have to have a fresh piece of Big Red chewing gum in my mouth for a ball just to hit the pocket, don't tell me its not a bad ball.

I find people who complain about bowling balls they don't own or haven't used ridiculous.

I agree with dozer ive been noticing for awhile that storm hasnt really had any solid pieces like they did in the past with the dimensions and t roads etc. it just seems like they are making something and then let everybody waste their money on trying it. and they also seem to be throwing out alot of high end equipment that in all honesty most people wont need on ths. i think the tides changing storms had their shot for a few years but looks like to me big B is makin more waves. just my 2 cents

Can't argue with much of what anyone has said, but I would like to add that the new Fight is really really good. Really good.

Lol @ NF.  The only people that can make the garbage balls work are tons of revs+tons of speed.  Mortals can't.

I'm just tired of not being able to:

Use a ball for more than 20ish games before it starts doinking tens

Having to switch balls during a 3 game set.

The alpha is coming out. I'd love to get it, but when in the "____" or hyphenated expletive, "____"-ING "_____" am I going to use this exept on the flood or the first 6 FRAMES of league.

I'm not going to be a koolaid drinking staffer and polish the he-double hockey sticks out of the ball.

What tajiris bowlersdeals.com video on the alpha. The picture is 2000 grit. But it's clearly polished in the video.

I might be turning into the AMF GUY AHHHHHHHH!

Lots of personal emotions being shown here  ???

Having the Alpha Crux and the Lock, the Alpha Crux is a stronger ball and can handle more oil than the Lock.

Yessir!

Definitely hear you out though Bill... good points for sure. With so many factors on the table though, there's no possible way a company can please evvvverybodyyyy. BUT DANGGGGG THAT WHITE 30TH ANNIVERSARY BALL LEFT A NASTY TASTE IN THE LOYAL SUPPORTER'S MOUTH

Hype is the driving force of the sales and comes with the territory in the battle of the brands. Without the sales, the sport loses out a great chunk of its finances... And without scoring, the sport loses out on growth as the deterred may just quit ... soooo "let's make a ball that'll do all the work for you" (technology).

A little bit of what Belmo had to say to the Brian Voss argument... but I agree with BV in some ways as well. As cool as it would be growing traditionally, we are going through evolutionary times (and not only in bowling). What a crazy generation to be living in! lol
