Anyone else having problems with Storm?
« on: August 23, 2006, 02:51:43 AM »
Ok, first off, let me begin by saying that I throw mainly Storm equipment, because it matches up well with my game, and I have a lot of success with it.  This post is not bashing their equipment at all, but having to do with the fact of the service which I have received.  I recently got my PBA membership.  And anyone else who has one, knows that you are able to purchase new equipment before it is released to the public.  Generally once a ball is cleared for PBA competition, we are able to get it.  Case in point, the Thunderstrucks were approved on June 6th.  I had ordered one and got it about a week later(Takes about 4-5 days to ship to me as Storm is based in Utah).  So when the Jolt, and Spit Fire were approved on 7/31, I had ordered them on August 4th.  A week later, nothing.  I called up, and was told they were both shipping on the 11th.  The packaged came in, Jolt only, no Spit Fire.  So I called again and was told that the ball was shipping that day, the 18th.  I checked again, and the ball still hasn't left yet, and now they are telling me that it might ship out next week.  Mind you pro shops in my area already have this ball, so much for pba members having access to the equipment before it was released.  Basically I am just disappointed with how Storm has handled everything, and the ball continually not shipping when they tell me it was going to ship.  As it stands now, I still will not get the ball until about a month after I ordered it.  Has anyone else had a similar problem with Storm?

Rob,
Thanks for the info.  That helps, as I do know that the pba members are supposed to get their balls about a week or so before the distributors do.
