Anyone still using a Shock Trauma?
« on: January 12, 2004, 07:28:36 AM »

I'm pretty new to Storm equipment, and wanted to see of anyone still using a Shock Trauma. I have a chance to get a good deal on one NIB. Thanks!

I still have one.  Haven't used it much because of lack of oil this season.  However, when I have seen oil, it's a great ball.  THey are finally going to break out the new lane machine and a new type of oil for my Tuesday league so I'm taking my Shock with me tonite.  If you are at a house that has oil, I say go for it, otherwise you would have to polish it so much or drill it so weak you would defeat the purpose of the ball.

Thanks for the info! Can you (or anyone else) know how this ball would work on a carrydown condition?

The Shock might just be my favorite ball of all time, maybe that's why I have three of them!  I have a long pin,(6" from pap) a shorter pin (2 1/4") and a strong pin (4").  The mass bias on the last two balls are both in the strong position, while the first one is in my ball track.  I have all three of them polished at the moment because I am seeing dryer conditions.  I used the 4" pin in the out of the box condition and it was great on carry-down.  Hope that helps!
