Atomic Charge (oil on surface)
« on: January 11, 2006, 09:54:28 AM »
I have an Atomic Charge that is my first Storm ball.  When I throw it (polished or dull) the surface gets very oily.  I never see this with my other equipment (Brunswick) except I will see the track flare pattern on my OOB Strike Zone which is easily removed with my towel.  The Atomic however just seems to spread the oil all over the cover and make it super slick.  Have other seen this as normal or is my ball just possibly saturated with oil (bought it used)?  If this is normal, do other Storm balls do this as well?
Current Equipment
Alpha Jackal
Jackal Flash
Primal Shock
Rogue Assassin
Revolt Havoc
Revolt Vengeance
Venom Shock
Blue Coral Venom
Fatal Venom
Dessert Tank

You may need to clean it with Clean N Dull or take it to your pro shop. Hard to say without actually seeing the ball and seeing it after you've thrown it.

My Xcel, when the lanes are heavy, will seem to have a lot of oil on it, but it is not, it's the dull finish and the dark color. It just shows more than my XXcel or Hawg Wild.

Again, I really can't say for sure, but if you are worried about it, clean it or get some CPR and do it that way. That stuff works ! If you have a spinner, try Clean N Dull, that's up to you.

Good Luck and Happy Bowling !
