Just some generic rambling here. This cat brought one of these into our house last night. First, this ball is sho perty! I dont know why but this is the coolest Storm ball I have ever seen. Unfortunately, our spans where different so I couldnt throw it. The ball looked pretty good on the lane too. He was throwing on a bit of carrydown and throwing it pretty fast(down and in with low-med revs). Decent backend and great hit! Hmmmm, I wonder what it would do with my slower speed? Maybe I should look into this one...........

Curly - i have a the Barbed wire and it does work well on the drier patterns. If there is carry down this ball has a tendency to squirt.

But if you have slower speeds it should work well.

This ball for me lopes down the lane and picks up the midlane and beins to rev up and makes a left turn.

I have yet to experiment with this ball with a sanded finish to see if this works on the carry down.

I am going to sand it down and apply the Elixir and test it again.

Changed the surface of the Barbed Wire to a 600 matte wet sand and finished with the Elixir.

Played on late squad with carry down. This ball cuts through much better and saves energy even with the matte finish. Threw the ball slower and reved it up and this thing just won't over react unless it has really dry boards to hook up with.

This ball is very smooth and would be great for crankers that don't want a ball to be over/under and it hits really well.

Storm should have never discontinued the Blue Hot Flame. BHF was Storms best light-drier lane ball. This barb wire is a poor replacement. Squirty in carrydown and too grabby on dry. Ball is junk.

Regarding storm balls, I like the thunder road pearl, super power, lightning flash and blue hot flame.
