Comparison between GB 2 and IQ Tour
« on: October 27, 2014, 01:31:10 PM »
Looking for somebody who has thrown both of these balls. My wife absolutely loved the V-2 back in the day. She still carries it today just in case. I am looking at getting her a new ball and have it narrowed down to either one of these 2 balls. Tough to go against the IQ Tour but the GB 2 looks like a great benchmark ball.  Looking for some opinions from people who have thrown both of them. She needs a ball to go above her IQ Pearl. Thank you !

GB2, and if you know me, I hate EBI and I am bias towards Storm/Roto.

The GB2 is slower off the pattern. The Tour Solid responds quicker and is more versatile imo.

i disagree tkk.  I have both an IQTS and a GB2.  Both drilled identical.  Pin above the bridge, no hole.  The GB2 hooks more earlier and down lane more than the IQTS.

The IQTS is more versatile, but the GB2 is stronger than the IQTS.

I never said one was stronger than the other. The GB2 isn't as angular is all I was getting at.

Picking up GB 2 tomorrow for my wife. She loved her old V-2 so hopefully this gives her similar results. I just bought the IQ Tour and love the ball. Between the Optimus Fusion IQ Tour and Hyroad Pearl I should be set for a while. Almost forgot the Super Natural which is a awesome spare/dry lane ball. The IQ Tour Nano does look good too.
