Domination at 2000 Abralon
« on: March 19, 2007, 05:28:42 AM »
I just wanted to post a small review about this ball taken down to 2000 grit.

I used it on the shot that I first used it at in the OOB surface last Monday, and the ball grabbed a little more, but over all it did not do too much.  I am thinking there just is not enough oil for this ball at this house.

I also used it Friday night where there is enough oil, and still I am a tad dissapointed.  The 2000 Grit version reads the lanes 500 times better than it did OOB.  The problem was the carry.  This ball really doesn't hit well for me at all.  I am not sure of the problem, because I know I'm getting out of the ball cleanly, I'm adjusting to carry the corners and any other ball I have been throwing it's just fine.

The thing that dissapoints me the most is the fact that I get a nice look with the Domination on my Friday night league at 2000, and it gives me an extra board or two to work with, but I just can not carry to save my life.

I tried many different things.  I tried going straight up and at 'em, tried a small swing, tried a big swing, tried different speeds, different angles, I tried everything.

I shot the worst set of the year for me by far.  It was not all the ball, because my bad shots that night were EXTRA bad.  The good shots however, it was 7 pin city.

So this ball will no longer be in my bag except when I head off to tournaments.

I just don't know what else to do with it.
