Drilling the T-Road Pearl
« on: August 07, 2007, 04:36:43 AM »
I have decided on getting the T-Road Pearl to go between my polished Black Widow and Tropical Storm. First off, my PAP is 3 1/2 over and 1/4th down. I want this ball to have some length with snap on the backend. All I know is that my Black Widow is drilled pin over bridge, MB to the right of the thumb. If I drilled the T-Road Pearl the same way, would it fit between the two balls? Any help is appreciated.

IMO if you dull the Black Widow up a bit, maybe to 2000? The T-Road Pearl will fit much better between the Widow and Tropical. Since your Black Widow is polished and drilled to go long, drilling the T-Road might give it too much of the same reaction, if not, then just a little different reaction, not much. That's just my opinion, maybe someone else will chime in.

I could always take my Black Widow back down to 4000 abralon if needed.

I have a Black Widow @ 4000 Abralon, drilled 5 1/2", Pin Up, @ 45* and a T-Road Pearl @ 2000 Abralon, drilled 5", Pin Up, @ 45* with an X-hole on my PAP..

World of difference tween those two balls.. My Black Widow starts about 3 ft earlier than my T-Road Pearl and at 2000 Abralon it's still more snappy than my Black Widow.. The T-Road Pearl is cleanest ball thru the fronts that i've ever thrown..  And my T-Road Pearl doesn't respond well to heavier volumes of oil compared to my Black Widow.. Too touchy ball for me with this layout..

I've got a buyer for my T-Road Pearl and i'm considering getting another T-Road Pearl but drilling it Pin Down to control the backend better..
