Eraser Blaze pbt

Hi folks,

I was given an Eraser Blaze to try out that is in good shape.  It would need a plug, redrill and a resurface to get it back into shape.  Im interested in it because I would like to try a polished particle ball and this would be an inexpensive way to do so.  However its an older ball so im not sure if it would be a good indicator or preview of the newer balls.  Im looking for something to use on med or lighter oil to compliment my Trifecta.  I also have a Smokin Inferno, so am looking for something that isnt as strong and can handle carry down a little better.  Do you think this older ball is worth spending any cash on to get an idea if its a good fit for my game?  And also which current equipment would be similar if I decide to get a newer ball.

JD, old balls need not be bad - especially for control jobs or special conditions used balls, even when some years old, can be a good investment when in good shape.

The Eraser Blaze should fit the bill you describe well. The older Erasers are, by today's standard, medium performance balls. The Accu-read coverstock is nice, should yield a smooth reaction on medium to medium-dry conditions. The EB should fit well under the Smokin' Inferno, less spectacular, but just for the condition you describe.
