Filling hole in arsenal
« on: November 05, 2014, 05:59:00 PM »
Having trouble filling my arsenal with a smoother rolling ball. Currently I have a pin above ring finger fusion, pin above finger punch out, and lucid pin above ring finger and slightly to the right. Looking for a duller surface ball that gives a smoother reaction, thinking between a hyroad solid, iq tour, asylum, zero gravity, marvel s, and disturbed. Planning to have this drilled similar to my lucid.

If you're looking for a smoother reaction, you should give your new ball a layout that promotes a smoother reaction.  A lower pin will expand the VAL angle and smooth out the reaction.

If you're open to stuff outside of Storm, the Covert Revolt is a great choice.  It can handle volume similar to the Marvel S but will definitely be smoother overall.

I'm def gonna talk to my pro shop before drilling it. I figured that layout was one of my favorites so i stick that on there.

I thought of the marvel S but it might be too much ball for my house

Depends where in your current arsenal you want to fit a ball in? As Hank said, you can put a layout on almost any of the options you suggested and make it a smooth roller, so you need to figure out where you want to expand.

If you are looking between the Fusion and Punch Out, all the balls you previously mentioned are probably going to be too strong. The only one that might be close would be the Hyroad solid but it would need a surface change to fall below a Fusion. I would go with Cheech's wipe out recommendation or a Roto Grip Hysteria and do a surface change as needed for whatever your oil handling needs may be.

Looks like wipe out might be the choice then, what about the outcry? Not a good fill in?
