Fired Up!
« on: April 11, 2007, 08:26:06 AM »
Well maybe i'm late to the show but my pro shop owner hooked me up with his Fired Up, a few pieces of white tape later I hit the lanes with it.

The ball is pretty close to a leverage drilling (pin 3 1/2" from axis) CGNOMADDAH, and my lord even though the ball has been used for over 500 games a quick resurface and repolish and the ball is pretty amazing. I've never had a pearl ball roll of the dry which such a controllable move, my Doom was pretty predictable but this ball is amazing, and the recovery, the Ball is now my Gap filler (between Ragin', Black Widow Heaviers stuff and the Punisher Light stuff). I can see already its going to be a THS beast with the strong roll of the dry and it mixed the pins up, man best ball for the money i've ever gotten. (lame line I know but its true!)

I agree! The Fired Up is amazing in that it's very strong in the back end but also very controllable with amazing length and recovery. When my NM and BW are overreacting I can grab the FU, play down and in and pretty much strike at will.

I have a Special Agent arriving Friday. Between the SA, Agent and FU I'll bet that's a pretty good 3 ball lineup for most everything but floods and toast.

Thats awesome, glad to hear sucess with the ball and someone in a Similar situation, i've got my main ball being a Black Widow but the main center I bowl at forces me way way inside with it and sometimes its just flat out too much, Ragin' burning up and then I have to fluff the punisher to get it to the pocket. The Fired Up is now my goto ball when the Widow is overreacting!

Would a Fired Up go under a Agent?

From what i've seen the Fired Up would work well below the Agent, although they have the same coverstock the Fired Up is a ball that just saves for the backend, and overall is weaker than the the earlier rolling Agent.

Also contact Jeff Carter on this site as he can shed more light on this subject.
