First night with the Paradigm
« on: January 17, 2006, 03:51:37 PM »
All I can say is, WOW!!! This ball flat out MOVES on the backend! I've never had anything with this much turn and hit at the breakpoint, I was tossing pins and covering boards like I actually had some hand. One of the biggest things that impressed me was the continuation this ball through the pins; It does not want to stop!

I layed it out as per Steve Kloempken of Storm suggested: 3.5" x 3.5" -- 1.5" pin buffer.

I'll do a full review after I've thrown it some more.

Is this a good ball to play real deep with on med conditions?  How is this ball when the lanes start to transition?  I just got one of these balls for next to nothing.  I drilled it with the pin above and in between the bridge(pin 5.5" from pap, rad about 1 1/2" right of thumb.  No balance hole.

Hey Chit, that ball isn't made by Track....lol....In regard to your questions, the answer is YES.....anyhow it is for me. Whether it will with the way you drilled it, I don't know. jjweb and I both contacted Storm and gave them our style and conditions we bowl on and they recommeded a drilling for out styles and mine works and at first appearance, it looks like his is going to also. (no, we don't know each other....we just both took the same steps) You won't have any trouble getting this ball to rev in the mid lane. I am low revs, but with this ball it doesn't look like it.

I would say yes.  This ball is extremely versatile.  I started the night playing deeper inside.  Swing the ball out to 5 board and it just flies back.  Then we got some carry down in the middle of the second game and I moved right and played straight up 10 board.  It worked great either way.  A very versatile ball.

League nights (pre-Paradigm) I normally play around 12 and start off with my Total Shock to get a read of the lanes, sometimes even play it the first and sometimes second game. Shot making is crucial because I have little room for error. Tug it and hope you don't leave some nasty split combo, push it too far right and it's washout city. When the lanes breakdown it's time to switch to my Sahara, and again I'm playing VERY tight with zero room for error. One thing with the Sahara is the back pins, boy does it like to leave 'em.

The Paradigm laughs at the lane oil!

I do have problems with equipment not finishing down lane properly, and it's no longer a problem with the Paradigm. I really like it's versatility with playing different lines, some of which I never could play. This is the first ball for me that I've been able to swing and actually get it back to the pocket and carry! It's super clean through the heads and just explodes on the backend. It's hard to describe the pin carry, but it's flat out sick!

It's been a while since I've been so excited over a ball, and makes a nice air freshener too!

My 617 (235, 162, 220) was just a tad bit shy of 900, but considering I helped moved our team up to 1st place, I'm not complaining.
