Got our Passion today
« on: January 09, 2006, 12:26:05 PM »
I can tell you I wasn't expecting much after seeing the rather ugly pictures, but this thing looks INCREDIBLE.  The neon yellow lettering matched with the darker colors of the ball makes it look great.  Smells good too.  That thing would look awesome rolling down the lane.

Send it to me and I will tell you how good it works and how good it looks rolling down the lanes. I'll even pay the shipping costs.

this ball is amazing...compliments the original paradigm very well.  drilled mine yesterday...pin 5' below fingers...rad on val...no hole...box finish
without a doubt the best ball ever for carrydown, could play deep inside without any loss of hit.  ball was too much on our fresh house pattern as the backends are very clean...2nd and even 3rd game it was perfect, didnt squirt in the oil when missed inside.  cant wait to try on some really heavy patterns...great ball, even for someone with a lot of hand.  good luck everybody

Would someone be kind enough to explain to me exactly what is this EOX cover?
Is it epoxcy or what? I made a post asking this question and all I received on it is one smart-assed reply from brooklynslop.

I was told that the EO is initials of the person who formulated the resin and I don't remember what the X is for. Has nothing to do with EPX from the other company.

The coverstock of the Passion is a solid and the Paradigm is pearl. Storm has also put a 500 grit Abralon surface on it to create more friction than ever before so it gives the earlier movement than the Paradigm. This ball is the REAL thing!!!!!!  High mass bias diff. = a short break point transition with LESS deflection THROUGH the POCKET. Tight lanes conditions? NO PROBLEM with this.

Ball hooks through oil like is not there, easily 5 boards stronger than my strong drilled Centrifugal Mass. With the 500 matte finish it hooks right off your hand most will need at least 1000 even on oiler shots including me. This ball burns a hole in the pattern at 500 very fast with 5 frames it was losing its hitting power on the fresh pattern i was bowling league on. Between me and another couple of duller balls the pattern was gone upfront in 5 frames, The only ball i have ever used this early and strong is the super carbide bomb in box finish.

If you bowl on a real flood buy this ball if you bowl on standard house shots polish this ball after changing the matte surface to at least 1000 under the polish.  I liked the strength of the ball but in box it is just plain stupidily strong, so i will take it too a 1000 and retry on fresh sunday morning. The scent honestly is overpowering and annoying when you are in your setup you will smell the ball, that is how strong the mint smell is.

Quick question guys.  I know I do not know all the lingo of bowling.  I was bowling a few years back quite a bit, but a broken finger, and ALL of my equipment being stolen I stopped.  I am looking to start again as I learned I can bowl without finger pain.  My ball speed is up there, 18-20 mph according to the house I bowl at.  I would say my revs are in the medium range.  When I bowled in the past, I tended to be a stroker because of my ball speed and the fact my ball was drilled for a lot of length.  I never gave the ball a chance to turn the corner.  I was going to purchase a Vertigo, but with the Passion coming out I am now looking at that as well.  Just looking for some advice before I buy a new ball.  Thank You...

Our VIP ball came in last night and I've got to admit that I like the look of hte ball...though the blue doesn't really stand out as much as I thought it would've.
