Help me with the Triple X
« on: February 11, 2004, 05:15:33 AM »
I'm trying to decide what ball to get here.  I originally liked the Triple X, but all the pics I see it is pink.  Sorry, but I don't do pink.  Is that true or is it just a screw up.  Then I was going to go with the Track Freak Out.  Well, I found out that the Freak Out was discontinued and is hard to get.  Those of you that have some knowledge the the Triple X and its performance may be able to help me make this decision.  Is the XXX a good ball?  Storm VS Track, what is better?  My bowling style is a cranker with high revs.  My house is normally med to heavy oil.  And again, can someone send me an actual  pic of the Triple X.  Tell me it isn't pink.  Thanks Ya'll.

Not pink.  Looks like the original X-Factor with some gold pearl thrown in.  I just drilled one earlier today.  If you threw the original XF and liked it, you should like the Triple X since the core is similar (one extra disk in the core).  Not sure how the Monsoon pearl shell compares to the Accu-Tread of the XF.  I'll have more information tonight after I practice with it.

Hey Fellas, I appreciate the replies.  I checked the ball out on the link you gave me at blockbusterbowling.com, and NO it isn't pink at all.  As a matter a fact that ball is one of the sharpest I've seen.  I've pretty much made my mind up.  Thanks again for the help.  And let me know what you guys think when you have a couple games under your belt with it.  Do you have any suggestions for top weight or pin position.  Or should I just go with any available?  I appreciate it.
