IQ Tour Step Down.....Storm or Roto, or Motiv
« on: August 26, 2015, 04:33:04 PM »
Looks like I have found my league ball for a 5 man team on AMF Syn that I have struggled with in the IQ Tour.

My question is what would be a nice step down from this ball...lots of friction front and back as the night goes on.

My Uproar was somewhat over under last night and very sensitive. My Fusion was the same last year but stronger. Wrecker was to angular.

I was thinking about the Ride, or Devour because both have been described to have a smooth arc to play up the boards with.

 Thoughts?

The Ride is very smooth off the breakpoint, it's the best breakpoint control on the market in my opinion, and not just because I'm a Storm guy.  Watch the videos, the whole motion down the lane is extremely controlled for how much it hooks.

I feel like the ride is kind of a bigger step down than the devour from a tour, so devour gets my vote. Also, did you try sanding the uproar a bit, that might help it a lot.

So is the Strike King, and you can save $30 on top of it over a ride.

I thought the UpRoar was a perfect step down from my IQ Tour. The similar low diff along with the same layout made a good 1-2 combo for me when needed.  How is your IQ Tour and UpRoar drilled?

I have two Uproars....the one that seemed over under to me was drilled 65 x 4 5/8's x 40 no hole. The other is 60 x 3 7/8 x 40 no hole....one has a ADT drilling and the other does not. The IQ Tour is 45 x 4 3/8 x 45 no hole.
