Original Storm X-Factor
« on: February 20, 2008, 01:28:56 AM »
I have a chance to get a really good condition x-factor for a really cheap price. Guy just wants to get rid of it really. I know its an older ball but how does it stack up? More pros than cons? Any information from people who own or have owned this ball would be helpful. Thanks.

The original X-Factor was deemed to be a very good ball in most hands. I know it hasn't been made in a few years, but it would still stack up just fine on most of today's conditions, assuming it hasn't been tracked out or soaked with oil. If those two things haven't happened, expect a very solid reactive pearl that will offer decent length and a fairly strong backend move on most medium patterns with clean backends.

The X-Factor was one of the most popular balls of it's era. It's a very good ball. One's in good condition are still desired. Just look at the price of this NIB one on ebay.

I still use mine as my main ball. I won it in a get a ball at the end league, about 3 or 4 years ago. I have only had it resurfaced once, and it's still kicking butt. Well worth it if you ask me, it made my average jump about almost 30 pins in one year.

I pulled my X-Factor out a few weeks ago and shot 778 with it.  Almost kinda acts like a hybrid, because it gets through oil, revs up and turns very well.  Just about can't shoot mine through the breakpoint.  It stands up to the test of time, get it.
