Definitely not an eye catcher.  It almost looks like the same color as the new Tropical release.

So, why would I want the passion over the original Paradigm?  The only difference I see is the coverstock.  Everything else appears to be the same including the hook pattern.

Both of those covers are on alot of bowling balls.  The pk 18, I believe is on the most.  Teh activator or a derivative is on the inferno series, numerous lane1 balls, and the shock and awe.  The inferno is probably the biggest selling ball since the danger zone (pk 18).  Also, I'm interested to see the passion in action, they are going a different way from the one series.  It was the One vs the Paradigm (solid, polished reactives with strong cores and new covers) but the one series is going to a pearl particle, while the Passion is solid reactive.

Sorry, I'm stupid, the paradigm is a pearl, but as far as the reaction shapes, time of release onto the market, and general similarities, the paradigm wound up losing sales to the one.

If you will go to the Storm site and look at the diagram of how each ball is supposed to hook, it appears to me the Passion has a sharper move on the backend.

I'm not saying that statement is true or false either way, but I want to know how did you determine that? Where did you get your numbers? If from your local pro shop, then it means nothing coming from one shop out of thousands and thousands of shops.

I essentially don't have real hard evidence.  Such is very much a matter of opinion.  I did go to a few pro shops that had much higher sales of the one than the paradigm, but more than this is what I have heard on this site, and from fellow bowlers.  Yes paradigms were purchased, but the ball in vogue is the one.  It is "the" ball to get.

The One is dominating the Paradigm in the Western New York area.  My shop has sold maybe 2 Paradigms and about 15 Ones.  Price is the main reason why the Paradigm isn't selling.

I can see that being a problem in some areas. Especiall someone like myself that is retired and on fixed income. When I was working before I retired, price was not a big deal but now that I am on fixed income, it is....lol....I couldn't have bought a Paradigm had my pro shop not had a special at Christmas time. $210 out the door. This included ball, drilling, thumb slug, and grips.

If you print out the two screens and hold one on top of the other you will see that the two tracks are basically the same.  So I raise my original question which maybe I should of phrased differently.  If the two balls have the exact same specs and the same track, with the only difference being the cover stock, what's the difference? If you could only own one, which would you buy and why?

My pro shop guy got his ball yesterday and even though I don't like storm stuff, it wasn't a bad looking ball. He still has 2 original Paradigms that he can't sell.. The price is way more than the hype..
