Plugging and Redrilling a Deuce..Thoughts?
« on: August 30, 2003, 07:59:53 PM »
This thing is driving me nuts.....I need a solid in my line up and thought I bought the right ball based on my results with my XFactor. I took it up to my driller and asked for it to be redone and he was not to excited about doing it because of not knowing where the track might end up at do to the core design. He was afraid that it might end up rolling over my old thumb hole. As of right now we are just going to redo the thumb because of the fit and change the surface to 1000 or 800.....probably 800 after reading a different thread. Unfortunately I had the ball drilled 1B on Storms patterns because of my luck with my XFactor. The XFactor was so strong for me that I figured a stronger cover would make it stronger than the X....I guess not. So any thoughts on plugging this doggie? Or should I bag it and move on ( Pheonom? Black Cherry Bomb? I need something for med to heavy med..17 mph, 330 rpm, 80 axis tilt.
Thoughts?

Try the 800grit or even 600grit...but if that does not work sell the ball and get yourself a Phenom.

The Duece is a good ball, but from what I see with everyone it seems to be more drill sensative than the Xfactor. Instead of spending the money to plug and have it redone sell the ball, add that money to money you saved not plugging it then pick another ball.

I have been very impressed with the look on the lane the Phenom gives. Length for a particle and the backend of a particle pearl.

goodluck in your decision.
