Polish and Cleaner
« on: March 25, 2008, 01:54:55 AM »
Here is a list of bowling balls I have, they are factory finish.

Storm Domination
Storm Shift
Storm T-Road Pearl
Storm Rapid Fire
Storm Gravity Shift

I am looking for a very good cleaner, and polish.  I am currently using power house energizing cleaner and power house factory finish polish.  They are ok, not real good, but thats all my pro shop carries.  And I am not too fond of my pro shop.  I am looking for a polish that I can use by hand as I don't have a ball spinner.  I am looking for a polish that will give it a wet look. It does not have to be an extender.

Cleaner you could look at Reacta Clean for your other stuff and they recommend Mega Bite I think for your Shift.  Polishing sucks doing it by hand (time spent and end result) but you could also look at Reacta Shine and Moon Shine (Shift).

The 1/2 HP spinner isn't that much considering how many balls you have and if you want to be serious about the maintenance in the long run this makes it way quicker and easier.

Thanks, any place you recommend for getting these at a good price.  I will look into a ball spinner when I get some more money.  Maybe I can find a used one.  Could you use the mothers power ball for polishing the ball.  I know its made for cars.

Best place, and cheapest, to get a spinner is at buddiesproshop. Here you go:

http://www.buddiesproshop.com/product/1271/Vertex_Mold_-_Spinner_12_HP.htm

When you go to check out, put in this code: MAIL100

That will save you $5. Other things you will need to start out are towels, something to put the spinner in (so that polish or water doesn't get on your clothes), polish, cleaner, abralon pads. I highly suggest getting a spinner because it will be very useful. I just ordered mine today.

I hate to go against the grain here but, I LOVE Storms balls but, I very much dislike Storms line of cleaners and polishes. Their step 1,2, and 3 are very good but, the others I think are crap. Yeah, they polish a ball but, they almost act like an extender to me in some ways. I noticed a loss in performance after using any of them. As far as a good polish, Legends, Ebonite, and Brunswick polish are IMO the best stuff out there. For a good cleaner, Legends and Tracks Clean and Tacky is the BEST.

A spinner is essential though!
