Pretty loaded arsenal
« on: May 08, 2007, 02:53:17 PM »
I think I'm set for quite a while, after a nice take in an office pool, my arsenal looks quite nice now.  Here's where we're at:

Paradigm Passion
Special Agent
Double Agent
Shift
Paradigm
Paradigm Domination
Thunderstruck Pearl
Tropical Storm

Shot USBC honor scores with 5 of those balls, two of them (Domination, and Shift) I haven't gotten to throw yet, and I save the Tropical for the late shift, little oil shots.  Ready to roll!!!!

Very similiar to my line-up:

Shift
Special Agent
Agent
Paradigm Domination (2)
Paradigm
Spit Fire
Tropical
Legends Black Pearl(this may be the ball that makes me switch to L/LM).

Well if I had money, I'd lay out an arsenal like that too.  You got every hole covered.  You may even have some major overlapping.  What balls do you take in when you bowl?

I basically do really well with the following arsenal.

Special Agent- More than enough for anything heavy
T-Road Pearl - More than enough for any fresh medium to medium heavy shot
Pyro - Most versatile ball.  I use it on any broken down condition when I'm looking for a predictable reaction.

I was thinking of trying this but with a Mystic instead of a Pyro.  Unfortunately no money

Fluff.  I heard the Roto Venus is a spectacular non-agressive Pearl Particle  that is easy on the wallet - It also has a nice core design that makes it hit hard. Just look for something  with a coverstock that has a smooth or less aggresive reaction to friction.   This will help you smooth out the over/under created by broken down conditions.  This might not be a bad idea considering the Pyro is being discontinued.

Yeah I was checking out the Venus before.  It looks really nice.  The thing is that I got to throw the Mystic on some pretty crappy blown out conditions and it did exactly what I wanted.  So yeah, it is basically between those two...

Depends where I bowl at what I decide to take in.  One house has real dry lanes, that can put a few chips in the equipment, so I usually bring in some older stuff there, my Special Agent, (which already has a deep chip in it) , a Radar and the Tropical, other house with a THS, I use the Paradigm, Double Agent, Thunderstruck Pearl, and can't wait to see the Domination on that shot.  my regionals, I might take almost all of them, there could be a slight overlap, so I can switch one out for another and see what the differences are.
