he is a Storm rep that is why he says such great things about any storm/rotogrip staffer, it is actually pathetic to listen too.

I am glad he is forced to talk about other brands it is only fair to plug every brand not just Storm/Rotogrip stuff.

Oh tomorrow he will be in hog heaven about the storm/roto show, I like the products myself but really start to listen to his comments versus different staffers.

I think most bowlers, even staffers, will tell you that every company makes good equipment and that they are better matched with their own brand's products.  No one really makes junk, it should not be that difficult to praise someone else's equipment.  I haven't noticed him sounding strained, he's been pretty objective.  I'll pay closer attention this afternoon.

Shelly,
I wish more people on this site had your objective look at equipment companies. There wouldn't be idiotic threads bashing other companies besides the one that the original poster is using.
Then again,if the same people wouldn't crow so loud about that particular ball being the best thing since sliced bread and better than anything out on the market now,we woldn't have the same problem, would we???

Randy is very knowledgeable about Storm/Roto equipment -- he has to be.  He's not as knowledgeable about other manufacturer's equipment.  He knows OF it and knows a little about it, but doesn't know it in-depth.  Now that he's apparently allowed to talk about equipment on TV, he'll mention balls that people are using and, if he knows anything about those balls, he'll mention what they do and why they're using them.  People on forums just like to take perceived slights and drag them out for no reason even if they aren't real.

the companies spend so much money on product registration, they deserve a little push on air..Randy didn't favor one company over another first time he mentioned the names on TV. It was just that he happened to call out what PA was using that match, which were storm and hammer balls.. He doesn't call out every player's equipment each week.

At the Earl Anthony, he only mentioned PA using the two Vibes, and yesterday there was no name mentioned just ball characteristics, which isn't new.

I personally find it funny that some people even found something to complain about in this. Here is something not having to do with imbalance from left to right handers, who's bowling on TV that we do or don't like, or anything people can complain about on the PBA. Here's something to educate the competitive bowler and casual bowler about equipment selection, and two weeks later people are crying foul and complaining even about that.

On note of equipment, I seen Wes Malott start out with the Cell, switch to Cell Pearl.  What did he finish the show with ? was it another Cell Pearl or was it the Grand Illusion ?

I nominate charlest to become color guy on the PBA telecasts.  He knows ALL equipment and can comment intelligently on ALL.

Gawd knows he could use the work.

Pretty sure the Grand Illusion was only used on spares.

He is a real Storm rep in the southeast in the off season, He gets paid to say nicer things about the ball's simple for me to figure out.

Do you bash your employer ???? Even though your competitor has better products out????

Is Randy fair on the air to other ball companies well yes and no, he has recently mentioning other brands probably forced from maybe other ball companies or The PBA.

Before a few weeks ago he did not ever say what this ball was or that, only how great the ball reactions were for the Storm/Rotogrips guys. This has been going on a few years now, I am sure there are other brands not happy with the bias of mentioning only nice things about Storm made products.
