Finding my Reign too sharp when encountering friction. Has anybody experimented to try and smoooth a Reign out?

Using abralon pads will bring your hook closer to you and smooth out the backend a bit, but in all honesty, the  Reign is designed to be sharp when encountering friction.

1000 grit, "decent" polish with snake oil

I've kept mine at a 500 straight to 4000 abralon finish, with a very light coat of polish applied by hand.  However, it is still very, very strong once it finds friction.  That's definately the nature of this ball.  It may, however, be much more controllable once you knock that factory shine off it.

I've been strongly considering going to 4000 dull myself.  But yes, the reign is designed to be extremely flippy.

I would recommend a 1500 grit sand paper surface with a medium coat of Snake Oil.

If the 1500 is still too snappy I would jump up to 2000, that will really mellow out the rebound reaction off the dry.

I'm cosidering taking mine to 4000.  However, if I do I won't be able to use it in my main house anymore.  Oil volume is not great there lol.
