specs for super charge
« on: February 21, 2004, 09:48:46 AM »
How's everybody doing, this is my first post here. I currently own a very old tour power, and am looking to get a new ball - super charge. Is this the correct ball for me to get if i'm looking for more hooking power? The specs on the 2 balls seem pretty similar. I'm also concerned about the specs of the ball if and when I purchase it. i.e.: topweight and pin position. If there are any other recommendations as to which ball to get, suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Also one more thing, i'm a stroker with moderate revs, but seem to have trouble with my rotation. Someone told me that since this ball is a low RG ball, I will have a hard time hooking it. The reason I ask is because the tour power is also a low RG ball. Will getting a stronger ball help out with my hook, or should I just stick with the TP and work with my rotation?

Yes, I meant the angle at which the ball turns. I have much more forward roll, and was wondering if this ball will work for me. We bowl at lanes where my friend uses a triple X factor, and he has no trouble hooking the ball (doesn't roll out). Is there a recommended drill pattern I should use?

Thanks Bob, you've been a great help. I guess I gotta try it out to know for sure. Doesn't hurt either, considering how many games I put on my TP. It's definitely time for a new ball.

like mentioned earlier this ball is not great for light to dry lanes. I have the most success with mine on medium to heavy oil.
