Storm being bought out????
« on: March 15, 2007, 02:36:07 AM »
I heard some very disappointing news last night from my pro shop operator.  He has stated from a source at Ace Mitchell Bowling supplies that an offer has been put on the table to buy out Storm by the worst of all companies, Brunswick.  This is not sitting well with me.  What are your thoughts?

I can't see how Brunswick could be buying out anybody seeing how they just had to move their plant to Mexico.

not true...Storm just put an extention on the plant in Utah. I know Storm will be stepping up to fill the void of Columbia and Track.

I would not think so as well, but sooner or later the big move by Ebonite buying up Columbia, Track and the others is going to catch up and play a roll on how well companies like Storm, Brunswick and Banger will be abel to handel their share of the market on their own.

I actually heard some very good news about some things Storm is going to be doing in the near future.  Selling wasn't part of it.

Even if the rumor was true, an offer being put on the table is just an offer anyway...  That would make me pretty confident in my company if other companies kept trying to buy it.

I can concur with just about everything that has been said on here so far.  It is a fact these are all just rumors/hearsay, but still something about this is very unsettling for me.  In my opinion those with sources unless it is the owners of Storm themselves I would be hesitant to say anything like this is never going to happen.  Any individual or group people in my mind has their price and if that price can be met it will be taken.  We'll just have to wait and see and hope that it never does occur most of all by Brunswick.

Huh?????  Storm, Brunswick in the same breath w a lil guy like Banger ain't the same thing.

Visionary has a bigger market share than Banger or Insite and also manufacturers them for the respective companies.

The only problem is that it would make no sense for Storm to sell?
