Storm Euromania?
« on: November 29, 2006, 06:14:57 PM »
Currently there is this Storm ball on German ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.de/Bowlingball-Storm-Euromania-14-LBS-neu_W0QQitemZ220052220475QQihZ012QQcategoryZ100288QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Solid Reactor, with a core that reminds me much of the Dark Thunder solid?
It is neither on Storm's int. website, nor under discontinued balls. Is it a current overseas ball?

Agent core with solid reactor cover.  Slightly different than the Special Agent.  Probably a few boards weaker.

No, not the Agent core. It has a higher RG - I thought it was a Thunderstruck solid "remake", but the differential is much higher (0.058"). Seems to fit above the Thunderstrucks or in the Fire line?

Looks sweet (despite the wacky logo...) and should be pretty strong, I think? OOB it should work well on medium to oily conditions, I guess? With THAT killer differential, this baby should move a lot!

I am thinking about getting one, hit it with polish and hope for a quite controllable medium condition ball to replace my aging 1500 grit Vicious Attack...

So if there are any infos available beyond the ebay post, pls. let me (and others) know.

Finally, a ball that can bring neo-liberal economics and humane democracy to the lanes!  Now you too will be able to unite all of Europe in the warm folds of friendship, and knock down once and for all the oppressive 10-pin fascist movement!

What a fantastic idea for a ball...do you think they sell it in countries that are not part of the E.U.?  Is each strike you roll with it worth more?  The pin-exchange rate is growing day by day.  Soon, a strike with the Euromania will be worth two strikes back in the States...

Darn, I want one just because of the Euro logos...

The logos look IMHO ridiculous - but the color is nice (reminds me of the Awesome Hook and MegaZone H), the material state of the art and the core pretty strong. I am tempted...

What's the retail price in UK? Germany has them for about EUR 130-160,- in the pro shops I checked.

I'm not certain, but I think around £140. For comparison, Thunderstrucks are £130 and Spit Fire is around £150 most places.

Could you translate those into U.S. dollars please?

130 Euros would be about how much us dollars?

I thought these balls were "dissapproved".. Our distributor punched one up.. From what i recall he said it hooked too early and too much..
I think i heard something bout this being a new addition to the "EuroStorm" craze, but that it didn't clear..
But that's just what i vaguely remember..

On edit:
I think 130 Euro is somewhere in the range of 170-180 USD..
