Storm Summit Review

The new Storm Summit comes with TX-23 Hybrid Reactive cover, Centripetal HD -A.I. Core, and comes at 3000-grit surface. The Summit is going to be a great benchmark ball. The Summit reads the lane early, is round, and continuous going down the lane. I got Axiom vibes from the motion of the ball. It was not as early as the original Axiom but they shaped similar. Compared to the Phaze2, the Summit is earlier and smoother. The Phaze2 was similar in strength but was a bit longer and more shape down lane. I heard a couple people say it is a stronger Zen from how it shapes on the lane and I can also see that. The Summit also shined when the lanes were over/under and was able to help blend the lanes out. This ball will be a step down from your big solids when they are reading the lanes too early. Another home run from Storm!

The Storm Summit has been dubbed the strongest symmetric ball ever to have been produced in Utah. The Summit features a core that has striking resemblance to the Marvel series core, but it is wrapped in the new AI core technology. On the outside, the Summit is wrapped in a unique color combination of the new TX-23 hybrid cover, which is an updated hybrid version of the cover on the Phase 2. I drilled my Summit 4.75x4x4 2LS to get a strong benchmark shape out of it. For myself, this ball was a lot earlier than anticipated given it is a hybrid and hooked quite a bit. While it has been something that has not completely matched up to my game, I see this being incredibly successful for speed dominant or low rev players that struggle to see a ball pick up on the lane soon enough.  This ball goes through the pins very well and is already one of the top selling balls on the market. If you need something to get through some of the mucky sport shots or help blend cliffed house shots, this is going to be the ball for you! The Summit is the newest addition to the Storm line and for the little bit that I have thrown it so far, I can tell that this will be my go to before the Phaze II for a long time. For me, it provides a little more mid lane read with a stronger transition down lane. This allows me to use it on fresher conditions, after big asym balls like the DNA begin to burn up. I could also see this ball being a good option when polished for when the Phaze II begins to die down lane. I find this piece for interchangeable when it comes to where it could be slotted in the bag. I would recommend this ball to anyone that is looking for a good step up from the Phaze II. Remember to Bowl Up a Storm!!

Storm Summit is one of Storms strongest symmetricals to date! Using the Centripetal HD weight block wrapped in the all new TX-23 hybrid cover and don’t forget this ball also has the new A.I. (Amplified Inertia) outer core. This ball has become one of my favorites in the bag this summer. It’s the perfect blend of heavy roll and down lane motion. I’ve used this ball on a variety of patterns but seems to really shine on the longer higher volume patterns. When my Reality starts to burn up or can’t get any further in without leaving corner pins, the summit stores more energy and I have no problem crossing boards with it. It also seems to handle carry down and cliff very well. I have total confidence knowing this ball will hook on anything! If you’re looking for something on the stronger side but don’t want something high performance, give this ball a try. Can you reach the Summit?
