Sync vs. Nano
« on: January 15, 2013, 12:59:01 PM »
For those of you who have thrown both, which is stronger?  BTM's review of the Sync, which is due out next month, rated the Sync at a 55.  The Nano received a 56 when it was reviewed.  Buddiesproshop.com rates the Sync as stronger than Nano.  It seems there is conflicting information as to whether the Sync is actually a step up from the Nano.  Can someone clarify?

Stronger where?  All things being equal I would expect the Sync to roll sooner than the Nano. That might not mean as much back end as the Nano, but you can't have it all...

Well different people are throwing the ball first off.  Clearly the nano was a hook monster when it came out...now every manufacturer has a "nano type reaction"...this is storms next rendition...staying ahead of the curve as some would say.  Everything is relative.  I see the two being similar... but with different motion in terms of hook shape.  My sync covers more boards than my nano, but my sync is just more continuous, my nano gets a bit further down the lane before it transition..

There won't be much difference, same cover, different core.

Don't think stronger or weaker, think different motion:

Thanks Riggs!  So if you had to choose between this ball and your VG (original), what ball are you keeping?

I'm jealous!  I hate to wish my life away but can't wait for Feb. 5!  Thanks for the link and input.  I found your review to be very informative and I'm looking forward to throwing mine.  If you don't mind my asking, what layouts are you going to use for your other 2?

One will be a copy of my favorite NANO - pin over ring about 60 degrees. Other one I am undecided on and going to wait on for a bit.
