I had my new arsenal drilled up Monday night. I can't wait to try them out. Here are the specs, with pictures:

T-Road Solid
15 lbs 4 oz, 2.72 oz TW, 2" pin

15 lbs 4 oz, 3.14 oz TW, 3" pin
Drilled stacked leverage

Groove Urethane
15 lbs 1oz, 2.6 oz TW, 1 1/4" pin

I received a great deal from my local pro shop operator Tonya Bennett at Extreme Bowling Supply. I paid $420 for all three balls ($170 per T-Road, $80 for Groove), drilling and thumb slugs included.

It's been 9 years since I've bought a new ball, so I'm long overdue for a new arsenal. I'm looking for a 3-ball arsenal, including spare, for the majority of league conditions with occasional tournaments thrown in. After several months of research, I've decided on the T-Road Solid and Pearl.

I prefer the T-Roads' two piece construction (no filler). And I've heard they're a great 1-2 punch. I'm not sure if I should get identical pin placements, and perhaps drill both the same way (stack leverage). Anyone have thoughts or suggestions on this?

I would like a multi-purpose spare ball; a ball I can use for short dry patters as well as spares. I've heard the Jolts and Tropicals are too aggressive for either purpose. I'm considering a urethane ball from another manufacturer to use instead. Anybody have recommendations about this dilemma?

I know most wouldn't consider a 2-ball arsenal plus spare. I was taught early on in youth leagues to adjust different aspects of my physical game instead of grabbing another ball and throw the same line. I take 5 balls with me to league every week, but just use one ball the whole night and adjust accordingly. So three is enough for me.

I welcome and appreciate any comments and suggestions. I have partial specs in my profile for those who are interested. Thanks in advance for anyone's help.

The T-Road Solid and T-Road Pearl would make a great combination. They would cover most conditions that you would see.  

A Tropical will work as a spare ball/dry lane ball if you are a lower rev player.  If you are a higher rev player a urethane ball is better.
