Thunderstruck Solid Is GOLD
« on: August 31, 2006, 03:38:07 AM »
Well last night I decided to go out an practice a few games although my knee was hurting a little. Second game I throw, I throw a 278. I was playing about 18-8 or 5, had about 3-5 boards of room, and it was with new pins. I went X X X X X X X 9/ X X X 9. Both 9/'s were 10 pins as the last one I tried moving my feet and rolling with a diffrent hand position, and the one in the 7th frame I got a board out to much and I called it... another 10 pin. If anyone needs an AWESOME benchmark ball then this ball is definitly a winner. Im pretty sure I will shoot my first 300 with this ball. This ball is GOLD and as I told someone before, you can play up 5 or swing across and play 35-5 lol. No matter what, it CONSISTANTLY carries.

The Thunderstruck is PURPLE, but it is worth its weight in GOLD.

No but I've seen one in action and the ball is on my list.  I recently moved up in weight and it looks very similar to my Dark Thunder so I think it will fill in that spot nicely.

Of course, I may also re-buy the Dark Thunder so it's going to be a close race.

I think I am going to try it so that I can compare the difference (if any).  I'll probably pick up another 15lb Dark Thunder as well.

That would be smart. Then you could make a comparison between the two in a vid or a review.

Sweet.  Too many Storm balls to buy, so little money...

I want to buy like 3 more Thunderstruck Solids and experiment, but as you said... So little, or actually NO money.

I've never had the chance to throw the solid, so tough for me to compare. I've never owned a Pearl of any brand, so I wanted to try it. I was really surprised at the boards I could cover, even with my slow/low revs and how shiny (1500+) the TS Pearl is. I was throwing it with my Dark Thunder, which is slightly scuffed up to 1000 or so and getting nearly the same reaction. Those DT's are super smooth.

Hmm.  I would like to try some of their higher end pearl ones too.  I like the Spit Fire and the Agent.  I would probably try either of those.  It's hard to choose.

I agree, it's probably going to be my benchmark ball for the upcoming fall season.  My oponents are definitely going to be "Thunderstruck" this fall.
