tonning down a ball

i have a hot rod pro stock pearl and i was wondering if there is a way i can make the ball alittle less agressive without getting it re-drilled.Right now its drill pin above ring finger and cg to the right of the palm with and x-hole . I thought about changing the surface but im not sure wut to go to.Any sugestion would be greatly appreshiated

also the ball is at factory finsh at the moment (1500 grit polish)

You could increase the surface finish under the polish.  2000-grit or 4000-grit with a grit-less polish on top might help.  If you use a gritty polish, you could lower the surface as you polish.  It's not exact.

You could also try polishing it with something like Delayed Reaction from Track.  That will give length and tame the backend reaction at the same time.
