What is a Euro Storm 2?

Just had one of these walk into the shop, could anyone fill me in as to what they are? What cover, what core? Thanks.

There was the EuroStorm 1, a blue/green ball with a mild cover (Cureylon, I think), and then the EuroStorm 2 in 2003, a solid Accu-Tread ball with a higher RG core. Not sure about the differential, but if I remember correctly, it was in the 0.05" range (not 100% sure, it was weaker than the Traumas at that time). Ball came polished and was for medium conditions.

Colours were black, purple and red - very dark.

Back in 2003 I had this ball and it sucked!!
I was a big fan of every ball that had Accu Thread on it and when saw the spec sheet for the Euro Storm 2 i had to drill it up.
The ball rolled really bad, so i emailed Storm and got the following answer
"Thank you for the email. The reason this ball gives you the reaction you see is that the cover on the Euro-2 is a cover similar to the Big Hit. So this ball will not have the big skid/snap reaction as the other Storm balls you have."
Big Hit had Pro glide as cover. So don't expect too much of a Euro Storm 2

Yeah, I can confirm the bad rep of the ball. I remember them being sold for VERY small money in almost any pro shop and through ebay, the ypopped up in many bags - and many expected this to be "something special" or a big hooker.

But it definitively is not such a thing, so disappointment was rather big and the drilled balls flooded ebay again... Even today they show up!
IMO, it is a medium condition ball, rather for control. I'd guess it would fall today between the Fast and the Furious, but react less sharp to dry boards. Not a bad ball, but less strong than one would expect.

Euro Storm 1 was a similar thing, only the later Euro Mania is a stronger piece.
