What is the value of a NIB 15lb Original Eraser ?
« on: March 26, 2005, 09:29:20 AM »
Just wondering....I have one.  I loved this ball back in the day.  It has good specs and is NIB.  You guys think I could fetch about $150 on ebay for it if I start the bid price really low?  A Thunderflash did go for $230 over the summer, and I've seen a NIB Blue Hot go for about $110 and a NIB Trauma go for about $170.  LMK if it's a good idea.

The Blue Hot and the ThunderFlash were kind of specialized and, now, very hard to get balls. I don't think the Eraser was that specialized or hard to get. Plus, there are a lot of potential equivalents currently out there. The problem with an Ebay sale is, once the reserve is met, IF you do specify one (that used to cost extra), you have to sell it to the highest bidder.

Right now it's not old enough to be of serious interest to those who have had one. It might take a few more years to increase in value. (Wasn't it one of the first Accu-Tread balls??)

It was a good ball; you might want to keep it for yourself. Like the new/old Track Heat, sometimes interest in a particular ball will rise out of nowhere.

Good luck.

It's only a good idea if you really want to sell it.  Believe me...if you really like the ball hold onto it.  Just because a ball is older doesn't mean it won't work on today's conditions.

I think you will get slightly over $120 for it right now. And you could just sell it to me for that haha. Yet I think you are better off holding on it and having it to put into play OR to sell later when there are less of them.  They were extremely popular, and look at the quantums and stuff like that now. there are few and now they are worth BIG money.

Depends... I would guess around $170-$200 for it depending on the specs and the buyer.  A Firestorm is pretty hard to find NIB...even harder if it was one of "first batch balls."  I know what I paid for some of my rare NIB balls...

I know I bought it from my local shop sometime in '95.  Oh yeah, the specs. are:

Gross:  15lb 3oz
Top:  3oz
Pin:  2-3"

I forgot to mention that it is not for sale or trade either.
